First steps
Create an account, connect your accounts, and learn how approvals and usage work.
1. Account and workspace
Create an account. A workspace is created for you; it holds your connections, guardrails, team and usage. Invite colleagues from the team page and give each a role: owner, approver, editor or viewer.
2. Connect your accounts
- Open Setup to see what is missing in your workspace.
- Connect the Shopify store and your ad accounts on Connections.
- Add the connector to Claude. Connect to Claude shows your server URL, and install explains each client.
Data appears after the first sync. Until then, the performance summary is empty.
3. How approvals work
Claude never changes an ad account directly. When you ask for a budget change or a campaign pause, the propose_change tool creates a proposal with a before and after view. Someone with the approver role approves or rejects it, either in Claude or on the approvals page. Only an approved proposal runs, once, on the ad platform.
Proposals follow the workspace guardrails (Guardrails). By default every change needs approval and a single budget change may not exceed 20 percent. A proposal that breaks a rule is rejected with the name of the rule. Unapproved proposals expire.
4. What counts as a call
Every successful tool call that Claude makes through the connector counts as one call. Failed calls do not count. Free workspaces have 30 test calls in total. Plan, included calls and current usage are shown on Billing.
